Car ploughs into Gold Coast shopfront
A car has ploughed into a shop on the Gold Coast this morning.
The accident occurred on Upton Street at Bundall just after 10.00am.
It is not yet known what caused the car to accelerate into the shopfront, however the elderly couple who were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash are believed to have escaped unharmed.
Emergency crews are at the scene with a cleanup currently underway.

It comes just three days after a ute crashed into a shop at Nerang, with the driver fleeing the scene.
