Car ploughs into Gold Coast servo

TWO people have escaped injury after a car ploughed into a service station on the Gold Coast overnight.

The blue Holden Astra smashed through the glass doors of the 7/11 servo on Napper Road in Arundel just before 8.50pm.

The woman driving the car and a second person believed to have been inside the store were assessed by paramedics at the scene.

Thankfully, the pair miraculously escaped injury and neither needed to be taken to hospital.

Police attended the scene near Arundel Plaza and said the vehicle caused minimal structural damage to the building.
