It’s been revealed a car stolen during a frightening carjacking on the Pacific Motorway last week, was taken without the keys.
Police are still searching for the vehicle, a 2017 black Mazda CX-3, after it was stolen from a 67-year-old woman near the Palm Beach exit last Friday.
It’s understood a man and woman threatened the driver with a sharp implement around 3.00pm, forcing her out the car.

They then took off in the vehicle, which is operated via a keyless ignition, however failed to take the keys during the robbery which means once the car is turned off, it won’t turn back on.
Anyone who sights the vehicle, which was bearing NSW registration plates “DSE11Z” at the time, is urged not to approach it and to call police immediately.
The man and woman, who also allegedly tried to steal a number of other cars along the M1 earlier that day, remain on the run.
Investigations are ongoing.
