Car taken at gunpoint from GC servo

A man has walked away unharmed after a car-jacking at an Ashmore service station on Wednesday morning.

Police say the 24-year-old got into his car around 4.00am at the Ashmore Road servo when a man armed with a handgun walked up and demanded the keys.

He got out and the gunman drove off in the black 2006 Commodore with Queensland registration 996 MDW.

The bandit is around 180cm tall with an Australian accent and was wearing dark clothing with a dark coloured hoodie and a black and white bandanna covering his face.
