Caravan park fire claims a life in NSW

A body has been found in a burnt our caravan in a holiday park on the New South Wales far south coast.

The body was discovered once fire crews extinguished the blaze at the park north of Pambula at 3:35PM on Saturday.

Other park residents trued get into the van but were forced back by the flames.


The fire spread to another four vans and two cars, causing extensive damage.

A crime scene has been established while investigations by Far South Coast Local Area Command continue.

The cause of the blaze is not clear and the victim has not been identified.
