Carer charged with sexually assaulting 89-year-old woman

A CARER will appear in court today, charged with sexually assaulting an 89-year-old woman at an aged-care home southwest of Sydney.

The 59-year-old man is alleged to have assaulted the woman at the Thirlmere Way facility in Picton on Monday, October 8.

Following investigations, police attended the carer’s home at Eschol Park and arrested him on Saturday.


The 59-year-old was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual assault.

He was refused bail and due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.
