The National Kiteboarding League season has kicked off on the Gold Coast today. Round one of the competition is taking place at Main Beach until Sunday.
Competitors will then travel to New Zealand, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne before returning to the Gold Coast for the Grand Final from February 18 – 21, 2016.

The 7-Round national series is a first for Australia and New Zealand, with the top male and female kiteboarders vying for the top ranking as National Champions.
At each stop the National Kiteboarding League will offer kiteboarders the chance to take part in both Wave and Freestyle events. Competitors will also vie for the title of Cabrinha Big Air Champion.
At the Grand Final, the top ranking rider in both Wave and Freestyle events will take out the title of Series Champion and take home a Bausele Ocean Moon II watch.
