Man dies after crashing motorcycle in NSW

A MAN has died after crashing his motorcycle in Tamworth yesterday.

Just after midnight Sunday 25 October 2015, Tamworth Base Hospital notified police a 51-year-old man had been admitted with serious life-threatening injuries.

He was pronounced deceased at 12.19am.

Officers attended the hospital and spoke to two men, aged 27, who took the 51-year-old man to hospital.

Police have been told the man was riding a motorcycle which hit a parked boat trailer on Mitchell Street, Westdale.

Detectives established crime scenes on Mitchell Street and Tasman Place, Westdale, and at Tamworth Base Hospital where the vehicle used to take the 51-year-old man to hospital was parked.

The Honda CRF450 was seized and taken to Tamworth Police Station for further examination.

Inquiries are ongoing.

Two charged with high-speed street racing in Sydney

Police have charged two men who were allegedly street racing in Sydney’s south-west at the weekend, with one of the cars stopped found to have a 13-year-old passenger.

Highway Patrol officers were patrolling Woodville Road, Merrylands, on Saturday night when they observed a Nissan GTIR pass at speed, followed by a Nissan Skyline a short time later.

Police activated their warning devices and stopped both cars before speaking to the drivers of both vehicles. A 13-year-old boy was found inside the Nissan Skyline.

The drivers, two men aged 21 and 20, were each issued court attendance notices for the offences of participate in a street race, drive in a manner dangerous to the public, and negligent driving.

They are due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday 23 November 2015.

Children injured in Qld school bus crash

Several children have been injured after their school bus veered off the road and crashed this morning.

The bus, carrying more than 21 school-age students, left Taragoola Road and crashed into a culvert just after 7.50am.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and transported seven children to Gladstone hospital with minor injuries.

Investigations into the crash are underway.

P-Plater busted driving 133km per hour with baby in car

A P-plater has been busted driving 133 kilometres per hour with a baby in his car.

The 19-year-old man was pulled over on Armadale Road in Forrestdale, Perth after cops clocked him driving at more than 50 kilometres over the 80kph speed limit.

Upon a search of the vehicle police discovered one of the passengers in the car was a nine-month-old baby.

The teen has been charged with reckless driving and has had his car impounded for 28 days.

Young girls traumatised after being approached, stalked by man waiting in female toilet cubicle

A man will appear in court today after approaching and intimidating two girls at a beach in the Tuggerah Lakes area.

About 2pm Sunday 25 October 2015, the two girls, aged 14 and 16, were at Soldiers Beach in Norah Head.

A man allegedly approached the girls, made sexual gestures towards them, and asked them to go home with him.

It will be alleged the man followed the girls, and continued asking them questions for a period of time.

Later in the afternoon, the girls entered the female toilets at the beach. They’ve told police the same man was inside one of the toilet cubicles.

Fearing for their safety, the girls ran from the toilets and spoke with some adults in the vicinity.

Police attended and began a search of the area.

A short time later, officers from the Police Transport Command arrested a man at a nearby bus stop.

The 41-year-old man was taken to Wyong Police Station, where he was charged with intimidation.

The man was refused bail, and is due to appear in Wyong Local Court today.

Police investigations into this matter are continuing.
