Police search for man spotted outside murdered mother’s home

POLICE are on the hunt for a man who was spotted outside the home of a Brisbane mother found dead over the weekend.

44-year-old mother-of-two, Danielle Miller, was found inside her Greenslopes home around 5.00pm on Saturday by officers who were conducting a welfare check.

It’s understood a friend called police after being unable to reach Ms Miller and her death is being treated as suspicious.

According to neighbours, a man was outside the home’s front door on Friday morning around 6.30am.

Several residents also told police that they could hear two people arguing on Thursday night.

Police have established a crime scene and forensic crews spent much of yesterday removing evidence from the home.

The home is near a major shopping centre and police wish to speak with anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour in the hours and days before the grim find.

Missing 12-year-old girl found “safe and well”

UPDATE: A 12-YEAR-OLD girl reported missing from Sunnybank Hills has been found.

Queensland Police released a statement a short time ago, confirming the young girl had been found “safe and well”.

Police thanked the media and the public for their assistance.

EARLIER: QUEENSLAND Police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate a 12-year-old girl reported missing from Sunnybank Hills yesterday.

The girl was last seen at her home address at Sunnybank Hills on Saturday morning but hasn’t been seen since.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as this behavior is out of character.

The missing person (pictured) is described as being Caucasian in appearance, grey/blue eyes, around 149cms tall and has a slim build with brown and blonde highlights, shoulder length hair.

Please note the missing parsons hair is longer than that depicted in the photograph above.

She was last seen wearing a grey “hello kitty” t-shirt, white sleeveless zip up jacket, black knee length skirt, black leggings and black running shoes.

Police are appealing for anyone that may have seen the girl to contact Crime Stoppers.

Man charged over partner’s brutal bashing

A WOMAN is recovering in hospital after being brutally bashed, allegedly by her partner, inside her Queensland home early this morning.

The 46-year-old woman was found by police inside her Spence Street home in Mt Isa at around 3.30am on Sunday with lacerations to her head and hand.

Police allege she was attacked by a 48-year-old man, believed to be her partner.

He was arrested at the scene and is due to appear in Mt Isa Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with grievous bodily harm.

The woman remains in hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Two men found dead inside Sydney unit were electrocuted in “terrible accident”

UPDATE: TWO men found dead inside a unit in Sydney’s east overnight are believed to have accidentally been electrocuted.

It’s understood the bodies of the men, said to be aged in their 50s and 70s, were found inside the flat on Cowper Street, Randwick, shortly after 9 o’clock on Saturday night after neighbours noticed water flowing from their unit.

Police have ruled out foul play, with early reports suggest the men were electrocuted in a “terrible accident”.

EARLIER: POLICE are investigating the death of two men whose bodies were found inside a unit at Randwick overnight.

The two men, one believed to be aged in his 50s and the other in his 70s, were found dead inside the Cowper Street residence at around 9.15pm.

A crime scene was established and post mortems will be conducted to determine the cause of the deaths which police say are not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Man killed in crash on Sturt Highway

A MAN has died after crashing his car into a tree along a country highway in rural South Australia this morning.

The accident happened around 10.30am on the Sturt Highway, about 8km west of Blanchetown.

The driver and sole occupant, a 35-year-old man from Blanchetown, died at the scene.

Major Crash Investigators remain on scene with the Sturt Highway closed between the Blanchetown Bridge and Annadale.

West bound traffic is being diverted through to Swan Reach, while east bound traffic is diverted onto Halfway House Road.

The man’s death takes the State’s road toll to 87 as compared to 79 for the same time last year.
