Woman’s body found in apartment block

POLICE are investigating a suspicious death after a woman’s body was found inside a Perth Apartment block.

The gruesome discovery was made just after 8pm Tuesday night, inside  block of units on Simons Way at Langford.

Major Crime Squad detectives are at the block of units, which have been cordoned off by officers.

Police allegedly door knocked apartments in the area asking if residents had seen or heard anything suspicious.

Investigations continue.


Former Miss Austria dies after plunging from mountain while jogging

Former Miss Austria Ena Kadic has died after plunging from a mountain while jogging.

The 26-year-old fell off the side of the Bergisel mountain near the city of Innsbruck on Friday.

The 2013 beauty queen was airlifted to hospital after two students discovered the severely injured woman near the Drachenfelsen (Dragon rock) panorama platform overlooking the steep ravine of the Sill river.

Ms Kadic succumbed to her critical injuries on Tuesday morning.

Childrens sports coach charged with grooming a child for sexual activity

Police are appealing for information after a coach at a sporting club in Sydney’s Macarthur region was charged earlier this month with grooming a child.

About 4.20pm on Friday 2 October 2015, detectives from Campbelltown Local Area Command arrested a 25-year-old man in Campbelltown.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with grooming child under 16 for unlawful sexual activity.

Police will allege that the Campbelltown man, who was a hockey coach in the Campbelltown and Macarthur region, attempted to groom a student for sexual activity in June this year.

He appeared before Campbelltown Local Court on Monday 12 October 2015 where he was given strict conditional bail to reappear at Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday 9 December 2015.

Police are urging anyone with information about the matter or any similar incidents to come forward.

Former Scout leader facing more than 100 charges including indecent treatment of a child

A FORMER Queensland scout leader, accused of child exploitation, is facing fresh charges.

The 31-year-old man, was initially charged with 26 offences in April, but has now been slapped with an extra 103 charges following an investigation by police and Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission.

Since his initial arrest, the crime watchdog has sifted through material seized from his West Ipswich property, north west of the Gold Coast, including cameras and computer equipment.

On top of his original charges, he is now facing four counts of indecent treatment of a child, one of aggravated networking, and 98 counts of using a carriage service to share child pornography material.

The man, who used to lead a scout group at Ipswich, is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, to face all 129 charges.

Father-son fugitives still on the run and spotted in Victoria

A DANGEROUS fugitive father-son duo from Queensland are now thought to have fled to Victoria.

Gino Stocco, 58, and his 35-year-old son Mark have been on the run for eight years, terrorising farmers in Queensland and New South Wales, and were involved in a shootout with Police on Friday.

Victoria’s Task Force Fugitive detectives have confirmed, they are assisting NSW Police in the search after a stolen Toyota Landcruiser tray utility, bearing NSW registration plates BV70WP, was sighted being re-fuelled at a service station in Euroa around 6.30pm on Monday.

It’s believed the Stoccos stole the ute from a property near Wagga Wagga following Friday’s shootout.

Two men were with the vehicle at the service station and paid for their fuel. Detectives believe they are the wanted father and son.

The vehicle is described as a 2013 white Toyota Landcruiser tray utility with distinctive white bull bars and a distinctive green esky and two blue chairs in the tray.

It is equipped with a 145 litre fuel tank which means it can travel up to 800km between refills.

In the most current police photos available, Gino Stocco is depicted as having grey hair, a grey beard and brown eyes.

The most recent police photo of Mark Stocco depicts him as having dark brown, medium-length hair, a dark brown beard and brown eyes. But, when sighted on Monday Mark was clean shaven and was wearing a cap.

The men are believed to have contacts in many parts of Victoria and investigators are appealing for the community to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the distinctive Toyota Landcruiser, which may be displaying different registration plates.

Police are advising the community not to approach the men as they are considered armed and dangerous, anyone who sights the men or the vehicle is urged to contact 000 immediately.
