Cattle found shot dead in northern NSW

Poilce have launched an investigation after four head of cattle were found shot dead in Cangai, west of Grafton, two weeks ago.

Two cows were found shot dead on a property on the Gwydir Highway, while two bullocks found dead at a property on Coombadja Road, both in Cangai, on Monday 16 May.

It’s believed the attack happened between 13 May and 16 May.


The bodies have undergone forensic examination and investigations into the incidents are continuing.

The cattle have a combined estimated value of $8000.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incidents or similar incidents to come forward.
