CCTV image of granny robber released
POLICE have released a second CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with over the brutal armed robbery of a Gold Coast grandmother earlier this week.
It’s alleged Barbara Bush, 75, was approached by a man armed with a gun as she went to get into her vehicle in the car park of Robina Town Centre on Tuesday.
She was held at gunpoint, repeatedly pistol-whipped across the head and robbed of her handbag.
The elderly woman was taken to hospital where she received stitches for a large laceration to the side of her head.
Her attacker, who fled the scene on foot, remains at large.
He is described as being aged in his mid-to-late 40s with a stocky build and about 168cm tall.
He was wearing a red and blue baseball cap, checked button-up shirt, black shorts and runners at the time of the attack.
Anyone who may know the identity of the man depicted in the CCTV image is urged to contact police.
