CCTV PICS: Police call for witnesses after train station stabbing
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they want to bring in for questioning after a man was stabbed at a train station near Penrith.
Around 10pm on Tuesday, a 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were at the Werrington Railway Station, when they were approached by another man.
The man threatened the pair with a knife, and then lashed out, stabbing the man in the neck and cutting his face.
The man was taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment of a puncture wound to his neck and under his eye.
He is in a stable condition, with non life threatening injuries while the women was not injured.
Police have commenced an investigation and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers.
The man with the knife was described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance and aged between 17 and 25.
