CCTV shows moment woman tries to rob servo with large knife

TERRIFYING vision has emerged of the moment a woman attempted to rob a service station in Logan whilst armed with a large kitchen knife.

In the CCTV footage, the woman can be seen loitering outside the store on Bumstead Road in Crestmead around 11.15pm on Monday before she covers her face with dark clothing.

The woman then pulls out a large knife and begins running towards the entrance of the servo.

Police say the offender attempted to gain entry to the store, but was unsuccessful due to the attendant locking the doors.

She then left the store on foot and was last seen walking in a northerly direction towards Julie Street.

WATCH:

Queensland Police are now appealing for help to identify the woman in the vision.

She is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 168cm tall, with a slim build and dark hair.

She was wearing black t-shirt, black pants, red and white sneakers and was carrying a large black bag with a large white ‘Nike’ logo on it at the time of the incident.
