THE Gold Coast’s newest social and foodie hub is set to mark the final stages of opening with a six-day celebration this Easter long weekend.

Capri on Via Roma’s ‘Let’s Celebrate’ event will be held from Wednesday 16 April through to Monday 21 April and will see the centre come to life with an array of interactive events and workshops, food and product samplings, centre-wide specials as well as roving musicians.

The Easter Bunny will also be making a special appearance on Saturday (April 19) and handing out chocolate eggs.

Owner of Capri on Via Roma, Simon Harvey said the entire Gold Coast has a personal invitation to come along as retailers prepare to showcase their wares.

“As visitors arrive they will be greeted by a market fair ambience with all retailers on hand to offer tastings, food education, free samples and gifts as well as lots of entertainment for the entire family,” said Mr Harvey.

“Let’s Celebrate Capri on Via Roma is a festival of all the centre has to offer – our tenants have come together to provide a truly interactive and educational experience for all visitors to the centre.

“Throughout the celebration, visitors will have the opportunity to sample goods from MBD and Mayfield Chocolates, be educated about the farm to plate ethos at our supermarket, specialist food workshops with our authentic Italian baker and much more.

“There is plenty of action on-site to keep everybody happy, from foodies to families, with a special appearances from the Easter Bunny on Easter Saturday as well as face painting and balloon artistry for the children.”
