Celebrate the Gold Coast this Sunday

Gold Coasters if you love our city, this Sunday you are invited to special party at Coolangatta.

Celebrate Gold Coast is a free event on from 7am to 1pm at Queen Elizabeth Park, and is a celebration of everything quintessentially Gold Coast – our culture, lifestyle, food and sense of fun.

Mayor Tom Tate said this year’s event will highlight our enviable beach lifestyle.

“Skateboard and surfing lessons, beach volleyball and cooking demonstrations are just some of the fun activities on offer. We’re also offering a prize of a cruiser bike on our Facebook page so for a chance to win, visit the City of Gold Coast’s Facebook page and just tag a friend you’d like to bring to the event. The winner will be announced on the page on Friday,” he said.

“Remember, in keeping with the surfing lifestyle, the event starts early – from 7am – so come down for some freshly cooked breakfast, enjoy the activities, then get ready for indie band Sheppard, who hit the stage at noon.”
