Optus customers have taken to social media to vent their frustration at not being able to make or receive any calls.
The Telco has confirmed on social media that they are currently experiencing a major network outage affecting thousands across the country.
“We’re aware of an issue impacting some Optus mobile customers’ ability to make voice calls,” An Optus spokesperson said.

“We are investigating and working to restore services as a priority.
“We understand connectivity is important and apologise for any inconvenience caused”.
It’s understood text messages are still sending, however, customers trying to make calls to mobiles outside the Optus network are being told the number has been disconnected.
“Hi Optus, calls to other networks are not working, and for someone who works in the communications industry, this is very stressful,” one person wrote.
