LATEST @ 3.00 PM | Four people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash involving two trucks and a car on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon.
The accident happened northbound just after the Reedy Creek Exit 85 off-ramp around 1.00pm, with long delays still being experienced in both directions.
A man who was trapped in one of the vehicles for at least an hour has now been freed and taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

A woman in her 40s, and two other men, have also been hospitalised with minor injuries.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed they were taken in a stable condition.
The crash blocked all northbound lanes for a number of hours, with the traffic still at a standstill both north and southbound in the area.
Motorists are being urged to allow for extra travel time.

Paramedics say they’re currently assisting a motorist who is trapped in one of the vehicles.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed they’ve suffered chest and lower leg injuries.
Three other motorists have also been injured, including a woman in her 40s who has been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.
The other two motorists are still being treated at the scene by paramedics.
All northbound lanes have been blocked, with traffic at a standstill in the area.
Drivers are being urged to seek alternative routes or delay travel.
