Charges laid after man stabbed during argument

A man has been charged after an altercation turned violent in Woodridge on Thursday.

Police allege two men got into a physical altercation at an Arac Street unit around 5.00pm.

During the fight, a 25-year-old man is said to have pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man in the stomach.


The 47-year-old victim was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he underwent surgery overnight.

He is currently in a stable condition.

A 25-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
