Child, 2, removed from drug house in Sydney’s west

A MAN and a woman have been arrested and charged with exposing a two-year-old child to drug growing operation in Sydney’s west.

Police raided the Adderley Street home in Auburn on Wednesday morning after receiving information it was being used to cultivate cannabis.

During a search of the house, it’s alleged officers located and seized several cannabis plants and cultivation equipment.

A two-year-old girl was also found in the home. She is currently safe and being cared for, police said.

A man and a woman, both aged 53, were arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station for processing.

They have both since been charged with cultivating prohibited plants by enhanced means, taking part in cultivating prohibited plants by enhanced means and taking part in enhanced indoor cultivation of commercial quantity prohibited plant – expose child.

They were refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today.
