Child among four injured in single vehicle crash near Canberra

FOUR people have been taken to hospital following a single vehicle crash near Canberra.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of the Federal Highway near the intersection of Wollogorang Road, just south of Goulburn around 5am on Saturday.

Two men, a woman, and a child travelling in the car when it crash. They have all been taken to Canberra Hospital for further treatment.

Of the four occupants, the woman, who sustained head injuries, is the most seriously hurt.

Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The Hume Local Area Command Duty Officer Chief Inspector Brendan Bernie said weather conditions were extremely foggy in the area at the time of the accident.

“While inquiries into this morning’s crash are still in the early stages, I am urging everyone to drive to the prevailing road and weather conditions and slow down,” Chief Inspector Bernie said.
