A child has died and another has been seriously injured after a truck and three cars collided in a horror crash during rush-hour in Sydney this morning.
Emergency services were called to the M5, just east of Belmore Road, around 8.20am on Wednesday following reports of a serious crash.
It’s understood a truck and three vehicles travelling east bound collided.

Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, a child died at the scene and another child travelling in the same car was rushed to hospital for treatment.
All four drivers, two women and two men, have also been taken to hospital for mandatory testing and treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene has since been established at the crash site, which is expected to be examined by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
The M5 is currently closed eastbound at Belmore Road, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
