Child dies after drowning in pool at NSW home

A SIX-year-old boy has died after he was found unconscious in a pool at a house in Sydney’s south-west.

The child was found floating in a pool in the backyard of the Spitfire Drive home at Raby just before 5.30pm.

In a critical condition, the boy was rushed by ambulance to Westmead’s Children’s Hospital under a police escort.

Sadly, police released a statement just minutes ago, confirming the boy had died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

A crime scene has been established at the Spitfire Drive home as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
