Child fighting for life after being found in parked car
A five-year-old girl is in a critical condition after being found unresponsive in a parked car in the Port Stephens area.
Police say emergency crews rushed to a home in Tanilba Bay about 4.30pm on Tuesday, following reports a child was found inside a car parked in the driveway of the family home.
The young girl was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation by detectives from Port Stephens,” NSW Police said in a statement.
It comes following the deaths of two young sisters, who died after being left inside a hot car in Logan, Qld at the weekend.
