Child hospitalised with facial lacerations after Kangaroo attack

A CHILD has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a kangaroo in regional Victoria.

The preschool-aged boy was set upon by the roo on a property off Victoria Road, in the small town of Yering, around 8am on Saturday.

It’s understood the child suffered a number of lacerations to his face during the frightful encounter.

The youngster was assessed by ambulance officers at the scene before being taken to hospital.

He was transported to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
