UPDATE @ 3.30pm: A young child has survived a horrifying fall down an escalator at Robina Town Centre this afternoon.
The four-year-old boy tumbled down the escalator at the shopping centre located on Robina Town Centre Drive just after 2.30pm.
A Queensland ambulance spokesperson confirmed four crews attended the scene, however miraculously, the youngster escaped with only a minor head injury.

He has been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

EARLIER @ 3.15pm: A young child has fallen down an escalator at Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast this afternoon.
The accident occurred just after 2.30pm at the shopping centre located on Robina Town Centre Drive.
A Queensland ambulance spokesperson confirmed four crews were currently at the scene.
The child, believed to be a four-year-old boy, is conscious and breathing.
