Child killed, four injured after 4WD rolls on rural highway in New South Wales

A CHILD has been killed and four other people have been injured in a single-vehicle crash in Central West NSW.

The horrific accident happened in the small village of Cassilis, around 180km east of Dubbo, at 2.30pm.

Police said a 4WD was travelling along the Golden Highway when it lost control and rolled near Ulan Road.


Sadly, a young child who was travelling in the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.

The four other occupants were all assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene for various injuries.

They were eventually transported to Dubbo Hospital for further treatment. Their conditions are not known.

Part of the Golden Highway has been declared a crime scene and is being examined by crash investigators.
