A MAN who raped his girlfriend’s 11-year-old sister has had his leg snapped in three places after being attacked by the child’s family.
The 22-year-old was sentenced to more than five years in jail in the ACT Supreme Court for the rape and repeated indecent assault of the 11-year-old girl in 2013 and 2014.

The court was also told how relatives of the child attacked the man after they learned of the accusations. He was beaten so badly, his leg was broken in three places.
The 22-year-old was also sentenced over an unrelated aggravated robbery.
Before handing down his sentence, Justice Richard Refshauge acknowledged the man had a problematic upbringing.
He noted the man was drinking a case of beer daily by the time he was 16, had used cannabis daily since he was 12 and smoked crystal meth since he was 14.
The 22-year-old was jailed for five years and five months, with a non-parole period of two years and eight months.
