A young boy is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car at Padstow.

The accident occurred on Davies Road just before 4.00pm on Wednesday.

Police said it’s believed the 10-year-old boy was crossing the road near the intersection with Trevone Street when he was struck.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics for multiple injuries before being rushed to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
