Children among four injured in boat fire
FOUR people including two small children are being treated for burns after a boat caught fire on a lake in Victoria.
The dramatic scenes unfolded at a campground at Lake Eppalock, 130km northwest of Melbourne, on Friday afternoon.
It’s understood a family of four was on board the vessel when it caught fire about 3pm AEDT.
A man received burns to his face and chest, while a woman in her 30s suffered facial burns.
Two small children, a toddler and a primary school-aged boy, also suffered burns to their faces.
Thankfully, though, the family’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Paramedics treated all four patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital.
Lake Eppalock is a popular spot for water sports and picnics, about 130km northwest of Melbourne.
