Children among four injured in serious Ormeau crash

FOUR people, including two children, have been injured after their car smashed into a house at Ormeau overnight.

The accident happened on Peachy Road, just before 6.00pm.

“A vehicle traveling along Peachy Road left the roadway and collided with a number of property fences,” Queensland police said in a statement.


Two women had to be cut free from the wreckage of the vehicle, with one woman sustaining abdominal injuries and the other believed to have suffered a medical event.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the pair were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Two female children were also treated at the scene by paramedics, with one child sustaining abdominal and facial injuries.

She was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition whilst the other was taken in a stable condition with no obvious injuries.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.

Investigations are continuing.
