Children charged after allegedly burning down home

TWO children have been charged with arson after allegedly burning down a house north of Brisbane on Saturday night.

Firefighters were called to the house ablaze on John Street at Caboolture South around 6pm.

Police said the home was extensively damaged in the fire.

Thankfully, though, no one was in the house at the time.

A boy and a girl, aged 13 and 15 respectively, were arrested and have since been charged with entering a dwelling to commit an indictable offence and arson.

The pair will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
