Children injured, mother catapulted through the air in horror car crash

A MOTHER has been catapulted through the air and her three children have been injured after the family car was involved in a horror crash west of Brisbane.

Police said the woman was ejected from the vehicle after it left Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road near Toowoomba and flipped through the air around 4.30pm on Saturday.

The woman’s three children who were also in the vehicle, which police said rolled multiple times, miraculously escaped the collision with only minor injuries.


Their mother was airlifted to a Brisbane hospital in a serious but stable condition.

What caused the woman to lose control of the car is yet to be determined.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
