Children rushed to hospital after ingesting ‘mystery substance’
TWO young boys have been rushed to hospital after consuming a mystery substance in Logan.
The children, aged 8 and 9, are believed to have fallen unconscious at a home in Kingston on Monday afternoon.
Queensland Ambulance crews rushed the pair to a Brisbane hospital, where they are understood to now be in a stable condition.
Gold Coast police confirmed they are investigating the incident.
“Police are investigating after two juveniles fell seriously ill after ingesting an unknown substance at Logan,” a police spokesperson told myGC.
A crime scene is still set up at neighbouring homes in Kingston, where two 8+9yo brothers yesterday took a poisonous drug – possibly liquid fantasy. They were hospitalised and are in a stable condition @9NewsQueensland pic.twitter.com/KK227I8juD
