Children struck in hit and run on the Gold Coast

POLICE have found a silver Mitsubishi Magna wagon which is believed to have run down two children outside a primary school on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

Emergency crews rushed to Coombabah State Primary School shortly after 3pm following reports two young children had been run down on Oxley Drive.

It’s understood the offending vehicle, believed to have been driven by a female, drove through a red light and hit the kids who had walked onto the road at a green walk signal.
