A number of popular mini toy trucks sold at discount variety stores nationwide are being recalled over serious safety fears.
A recall notice posted on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission website says the toys, which are shaped like cement trucks, dump trucks, digger trucks and tow trucks, do not comply with the Consumer Product Safety Standard – Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age.
“Small parts may be liberated and pose a potential choking or ingestion hazard for small children,” the notice reads.
