Child’s body pulled from water in north Queensland

UPDATE: Queensland police have confirmed that they have retrieved a child’s body from the Johnstone River.

It’s believed the body is that of three-year-old Jamal Little, who went missing in far north Queensland on Tuesday afternoon.

Water police made the discovery around 6pm Wednesday, during the search for the toddler.

EARLIER: Police have released a second photo as they continue to search for a boy who went missing in Innisfail yesterday afternoon.

The 3-year-old boy had been playing with other children near the North Johnstone river area yesterday at the Innisfail Wharf, and was last seen between 3.30pm and 4pm.

The photo is of the boy in the shirt he was wearing at the time he went missing.

Anyone that may have seen the toddler are urged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately on 1800 333 000.
