Chris Hemsworth, you’re needed at the Gold Coast Uni Hospital!

A Gold Coast company helping kids with disabilities has kicked off a social media campaign in an effort to get Chris Hemsworth to visit the children’s ward at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The Hollywood hunk is currently on the Coast shooting the latest Thor installment at Movie World Studios.

Yesterday, Special Needs Solutions in Southport reached out to Hemsworth, requesting he take time out of his busy schedule to visit the Gold Coast University Hospital, by creating the hashtag #GetThorToGCUH on Facebook.

“Attention Chris Hemsworth! Your superhero powers are needed at Gold Coast University Hospital – the kids need your super human strength!,” the Facebook post read.

Following the post, the company then shared a video of Bailey pleading with Hemsworth to visit him and the other sick and disabled children at the hospital.

“Please share ‪#‎getthortogcuh‬ so Bailey can make this happen for the kids!”

The post’s have been shared more than 600 times.

The #GetThorToGCUH campaign comes after Taylor Swift made a surprise visit to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane on Monday 11 July where she spent four hours hanging out and taking selfies with sick children.

The singing superstar had been staying on the Gold Coast while her actor boyfriend Tom Hiddleston was busy filming Thor with Hemsworth.

The pair – dubbed Hiddleswift – has since returned to Los Angeles after spending two weeks on the Coast.

Special Needs Solutions distributes equipment to hospitals, special schools, rehabilitation centres, disability services and various government agencies across Australia.

The company works closely alongside the Cerebral Palsy League, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Spina Bifida and Acquired Brain Injury sufferers.
