Christian brother to serve more jail time as court finds sex abuse sentence inadequate

A CHRISTIAN brother who sexually abused 20 boys will spend more time behind bars after a Victorian court found his sentence  was “manifestly inadequate”.

Edward “Ted” Bales was originally handed a maximum six-year jail term with parole eligibility after three years for pleading guilty to 34 historical child sex abuse charges.
