Health officials are encouraging Gold Coasters to get a COVID-19 jab while out doing their Christmas shopping over the next few weeks.
Following the success of last weekend’s pop-up vaccination clinics, Pacific Fair and Carrara Markets will again play host to the hubs, with Harbour Town shopping centre also coming on board.
In a bid to drive up the city’s vaccine rate in the lead up to Christmas, the pop-up clinics will be operating seven days a week until Christmas Eve.

“Getting your COVID-19 vaccine or booster is easy on the Gold Coast,” Gold Coast Health said.
“This weekend you can get vaccinated while you shop at Pacific Fair, Carrara Markets and Harbour Town with Gold Coast Health’s free and convenient pop up vaccination locations.”
Both the Pacific Fair and Harbour Town pop-up clinics will operate between 9am – 4.15pm daily until December 24.
While the Carrara Markets clinic will be offering jabs every Saturday and Sunday between 8am – 2.30pm until December 19.
That’s in addition to the city’s vaccination centres at Broadbeach, Coomera and Tugun, which are also open daily.
“No appointments are necessary. The vaccines are free and all you need is your Medicare Card if you have one,” Gold Coast Health said.
The latest Federal Government data released on Monday has the Gold Coast sitting on 85.6 per cent first dose and 75.6 per cent fully vaccinated.
