PRIME Minister Tony Abbott has announced his new frontbench team, saying their main aim will be to refocus heading into the new year.
Defence Minister David Johnston was booted out, with Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews to take his place.
Furthermore, Immigration Minister Scott Morrison was shifted into an expanded social services portfolio.

A few Gold Coast politicians have also been moved around in the cabinet reshuffle.
Member for Moncrieff Steve Ciobo is now in the Secretary for Foreign Affairs role, but has missed out on a ministerial role.
A less experienced Josh Frydenberg was chosen by Mr Abbott to replace Arthur Sinodinos as Assistant Treasurer.
But, Mr Ciobo’s remained positive, expressing his delight in being given a greater responsibility in the Abbott Government.
Fellow Gold Coast MP Karen Andrews was appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Science.
“I certainly look forward to contributing to our nation’s future and serving the Australian public in this new capacity,” said Mr Andrews in a statement.
