Clarke set to lead Australia in first Test against India

MICHAEL CLARKE will lead his teammates in today’s highly-emotional Test against India at Adelaide Oval.

In tribute to late teammate Phillip Hughes the players will wear his Test cap number 408 on their shirts for the match.

Hughes has been named 13th man for the game and spectators will stand for 63 seconds of applause before the match kicks off.

Mitchell Johnson, who filled in for Clarke in yesterday’s pre-match press conference, has hinted he’d want Australia to bat first if they win the toss.

The left-armer suggested Australia wanted to make first use of the Adelaide Oval drop-in pitch.

Day ones starts at 10.30am local time.
