Coles to boost staff at checkouts to rid long queues

SUPERMARKET giant Coles has today announced that it will be boosting its staff at checkouts.

The move comes in light of the installment of numerous modern self serve checkouts at most Coles locations nationwide.

Coles says it still wants to focus on traditional customer service and therefore will install more staffed checkouts.

It’s reported that over the next nine months, more than 200 ‘belted’ checkouts will be installed nationwide in order to cut queues and overall improve service.
