WITH just 33 days to go until the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games kick off, Queensland police are warning people about potential scammers trying to sell tickets.
“With tickets still available to see some of the world’s greatest athletes compete, the Financial Cyber Crime Group would like to remind everyone to be careful online and only buy tickets from official websites,” police said in a statement on Friday.
According to authorities, search engine options can’t be trusted because they “may direct you to fake websites.”

Instead, people looking to buy tickets to the upcoming Games are being urged to only buy through official ticket sales channels, which are listed on the official Commonwealth Games website here.
