Commuters warned of road, train delays after truck hits bridge in Brisbane
People are being warned to expect delays both on the train network and roads after a truck collided with a rail bridge in Brisbane.
The incident occurred on Sherwood Road just after 8.00am.
“A truck has become lodged under the rail bridge over Sherwood & Ipswich Rds,” Qld police tweeted.
“Extensive traffic delays. Watch for diversion directions.”

Queensland Rail warned train commuters to expect delays of at least an hour, however they have since eased to just 20 minutes.
“Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains have resumed in both directions following an earlier bridge strike at Rocklea,” they wrote.
“Customers can expect residual delays of up to 20 minutes”
Trains are suspended at Rocklea due to a bridge strike. Significant delays are expected on the Beenleigh, G.Coast, Airport & F.Grove lines
