Man missing from Cudgen found safe and well

UPDATE @ 5PM | A man who was reported missing from a care home in the Tweed has been located.

The 57-year-old was last seen at the facility on Cudgen Rd in Cudgen on Saturday night.

The man returned to the care home around 4.30pm on Monday afternoon.

He will be checked over by New South Wales paramedics as a precaution.

Police have thanked the community for their assistance.

EARLIER: Police are appealing for help to find a man missing from a care home on the NSW Far North Coast.

The was last seen at the facility on Cudgen Road at Cudgen about 10pm on Saturday 19 June.

The 57-year-old was reported missing to officers yesterday, however, police have had no luck tracking him down.

Concerns are being held for the man’s welfare as he suffers from a medical condition that requires frequent treatment.

He uses a wheelchair and walking frame for mobility, however, police say these were left behind.
