LATEST @ 8.40 AM | Police have confirmed they’ve located the owner of a “seemingly abandoned vessel” located in Tallebudgera Creek yesterday afternoon.
The owner of the vessel contacted Policelink this morning to claim the boat, which had been the subject of an urgent police appeal overnight.
Officers said the owner is “safe and well”, allaying fears the boatie may have fallen overboard.

EARLIER @ 6.00 AM | Police are appealing for urgent help to identify and locate the owner of a vessel found abandoned in Tallebudgera Creek yesterday.
A member of the public reported the un-crewed sailing ship to police around 6.40pm last night.
It’s understood witnesses had seen at least one person on deck earlier in the day, sparking fears for the welfare and safety of the owner.
The boat is described as yellow and white with an outrigger and a red, yellow, and blue sail.
Anyone with information on the vessel or its occupants is being urged to contact police immediately.
