Concerns for young boy missing on the Gold Coast

Police are appealing for help to find an 11-year-old boy who has been missing from his home in Southport since yesterday.

It’s understood the youngster was last seen with a friend at an address at Main Beach around 9.45am.

Police say he is known to frequent shopping centres in the Southport area, with Gold Coasters urged to keep their eyes open.

The boy is described as having an Aboriginal appearance, dark complexion, 140cm tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing an army style camouflage shirt and black shorts.

Concerns are being held for the child’s welfare due to his young age.
