Concerns for young girls missing on the Gold Coast

Police are appealing for urgent help to find two girls who have been missing on the Gold Coast since yesterday afternoon.

The girls, aged just 9 and 13, were last seen leaving a home in Nerang around 2pm on Friday.

The 13-year-old girl is described as Pacific Islander, about 155cm tall with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and blue tie-dye shirt and carrying a grey bag.

While the 9-year-old girl is described as Caucasian, about 140cm tall with dark brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and shorts.

“Police are concerned for both girl’s welfare due to their young ages and this behaviour is out of character,” Qld Police said.

Officers are appealing for either the girls or anyone who has seen them or has information to contact police immediately.
