Concerns held for 14yo Sydney girl missing for a week

Concerns are being held for a 14-year-old girl missing from south west Sydney since last week.

Police say the last confirmed sighting of Shannon Wiggins was at Canterbury Railway Station on Thursday 28 July, however officers have also been told she was seen at a Burwood home last Friday.

They are also investigating a report she was seen outside a school in Canterbury, about 3.15pm Tuesday 2 August.

Despite extensive searches of the area, Shannon has failed to be located.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm-170cm tall, of thin build, with brown hair.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare due to her age and that she suffers from medical issues.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to come forward.
